H&M opens in NC!

There are many things the North Carolina Triad Area is known for many things, most of them academic or basketball related.  So one would expect that the clothing retail scene around here is, well, unsatisfying to say the least.  But last week  H&M opened a location in Raleigh’s Crabtree Valley Mall.

I was elated to discover this new location on my latest visit to Crabtree. And it’s not just one of those halfsies kind of locations, this is a full blow concept store. Let’s just say my shopping budget for the day was completely blown at H&M.

H&M has started out 2010 by reaching out to other states that have been H&M-less in the past.  New locations include Hampton Roads, Virginia and Newark, Delaware.

The store is also launching an organic line.  A feat I find very refreshing from a retailer often found in the same sentence as Forever 21 when it comes to copycat garments.

The next thing North Carolina needs is a Zara. Then I can die.  Happy shopping North Carolinians!
